Leadership Mississippi Scholarship for Chamber Professional

The Mississippi Economic Council and Mississippi Economic Development Council will provide the Blake Wilson Chamber Professional Scholarship, allowing a chamber of commerce professional to participate in Leadership Mississippi.

Chamber executives who have been in the chamber profession for five or more years and are current members of MEDC qualify to apply. The scholarship covers the tuition for the Mississippi Economic Council Leadership Mississippi Program for the following program year, which includes overnight accommodation and benefits provided to all class members. Travel expenses to and from class meetings are not provided.

MEDC will collect the names of interested qualified chamber professionals and using criteria similar to those used by the Leadership Mississippi selection committee, will determine the recipient of the scholarship. The criteria are designed to allow for a fair evaluation of applicants.

The Executive Director of MEDC will notify the scholarship recipient by letter, which will outline the rules and responsibilities applicable to members of the Leadership Mississippi Class.

The recipient will be recognized at MEC and MEDC events.

Application Deadline is Friday, October 3, 2025.
