Scholarship Information

Scholarship Overview

Since 1994, the Mississippi Economic Development Council, Inc. (MEDC), with the generous support of Cooperative Energy, Entergy Mississippi, Mississippi Power Company, the Mississippi Development Authority, and MEDC members, has provided educational scholarships to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals and volunteers working in community and economic development across Mississippi.

Scholarship funding is available for the following programs:

Application Information

Tuition assistance is available through the MEDC Scholarship Program Application.

To apply, you must hold an active individual MEDC membership.

Please note:

Funds are limited, and not all applicants may receive an award.
Priority consideration will be given to individuals who:
- Are new to the economic or community development field
- Demonstrate a clear need for the training
- Are committed to completing the course
- Require financial assistance to participate
A board member or supervisor must confirm their support for your participation.
Only one application per person may be submitted, though multiple applicants per organization are permitted.

Reimbursement is limited to the early-bird or discounted tuition rate (if applicable for the selected course).
