Liberty Alliance to Expand in Hancock County

The Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission announced that Liberty Alliance has selected Hancock County for its latest expansion, signing a long-term lease for more than 34,000 square feet of hangar space at Stennis International Airport.
Liberty Alliance, a defense, technology, and aerospace services provider headquartered in Tampa, Florida, specializes in aviation, training, mission support, and defense logistics.
Officials said the expansion is expected to create 13 to 15 jobs as the company establishes operations at Stennis International Airport and short-term usage at the McDonald Business Center in Port Bienville Industrial Park.
Liberty Alliance said the move will allow it to expand its national footprint and scale specialized defense services to support the growing unmanned systems mission at NASA’s Stennis Space Center.
Local leaders also said the investment strengthens Hancock County’s role as a Gulf Coast hub for defense contracting, aerospace innovation and industrial logistics.
“We are excited to welcome Liberty Alliance to Hancock County,” said Blaine LaFontaine, executive director of the Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission. “This partnership will continue our momentum leveraging our existing assets and building around the existing defense ecosystem. Port Bienville and Stennis Airport’s proximity to the new testing ground for drones in Mississippi at Stennis Space Center creates a perfect environment for future test operations and manufacturing with modern warfare.”
Austin Jenkins, airport director at Stennis International Airport, said Liberty Alliance’s experience in aviation, technology, marine operations, logistics and defense makes it a strong fit for the airport and industrial park.
“Liberty Alliance’s decision also underscores the value of our infrastructure, location, and ability to support specialized aviation operations and missions,” Jenkins said. “We look forward to supporting them in their operations and being a strong partner in their continued growth in Hancock County.”
