APEX Ammunition LLC Expanding Manufacturing Operations in Columbus

APEX Ammunition LLC, a Mississippi-based company, is expanding into a new manufacturing plant in Columbus. The project represents a corporate investment of nearly $4.45 million and will create 64 direct jobs.
APEX Ammunition, which is relocating to a larger facility in Columbus, manufactures premium shotgun ammunition for online retail and wholesale dealer sales. Rehabilitation of the newly purchased building will begin this summer, and manufacturing operations at the site will commence in late 2023.
The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for building improvement. MDA also is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX. Lowndes County and the city of Columbus are assisting with the project, as well.
APEX Ammunition plans on filling positions at the facility over the next few years.
